Already, more than 81.000 cyclists enjoy a destination that stands out for its climate, unique and perfect to cycle in, its spectacular landscapes and the possibility of high-altitude training in the Teide National Park.
These elements prompt not only the arrival of amateurs, but also a multitude of professional cyclists throughout the year that carry out their campus training.
With all this potential, the Cabildo, through Tenerife Tourism board, has organised from the 26th to the 31st March, the "Tenerife Bike Festival", counting with the presence of Cycling Friendly. An event which will bring together important agencies and cycling tour operators at an international level, from countries such as France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium, Holland, Israel and United States, and of course national firms. The work of "Tenerife No Limits" will also congregate on the island many relevant national and international Media, including the presence of the president of the Real Federación Española de Ciclismo (Spanish Cycling Federation), José Luis López Cerrón.
The first sessions will combine cycling routes through Tenerife with all its assistants, and other activities will be carried out in the afternoons to discover nature and all its qualities.
In one of the Hotels of this event, the Melia Hacienda del Conde, Media as well as agencies will be able to discover the new Cycling Friendly installations of this facility.
On the last day, all the Tenerife Bike Festival participants will take part in the La Vuelta al Teide, a Gran Fondo (long distance) cyclotourist march with two routes of 160 and 90 kms.
An incredible island to practice cycling in and still with a lot of unexplored potential. Institutions, private initiative and businesses related to the cycling world seem to want to take advantage of all this potential.
